I had a somewhat eccentric gentleman stop in for a haircut yesterday. He was very well groomed and impeccably dressed. The only thing that really threw off his look was his eyebrows. Those 'brows looked like two milkweed tussock moth caterpillars camped out on his forehead. Naturally, I asked if he wanted me to trim them up for him. He looked at me as if I were from another planet and said, "No. That will only make them grow back thicker!" I tried to convince him that was not the case, but he simply would not believe me. So he left -- with a flawless haircut, which nobody will even notice because they'll be too busy looking at the creatures above his eyes.
The point I'm trying to make is that, trimming the eyebrows (or shaving a beard, for that matter) will not make them grow back thicker or faster. That's just another of those men's hair myths that won't seem to go away.
