I've been watching the television show Smash this season and, while I love the show, Jeremy Jordan's sideburns are driving me nuts. In one scene, he has them. In one scene, they're gone. In addition to being a barber, I also do a little television and film acting, so I understand continuity can be difficult to maintain if you've got an actor working on multiple projects.
Jeremy is also playing a teenager in Newsies on Broadway while filming Smash. In Newsies, I guess the show's hairstylist thought he'd look more like a teenager if they chopped his sideburns off at the top of his ears (kinda like we did in the 80s), but I know a lot of teen guys who have sideburns. That stylist should take a new approach, because the lack of sideburns just looks odd and the style frames his face horribly -- see what I mean below. Another great example of how a haircut will account for facial features.
