How to Make Thinning Hair Appear Fuller

Here's the thing: Going bald is natural in the aging process. It just happens. And you don't have to feel bad about it, or quite frankly, do anything to mask it. The Cut

For thinning hair, one of the worst things you can do is grow the hair longer, especially on the sides and back. Take a look in the mirror—if you see scalp exposure on top, cut the sides and back short enough to reveal an equal amount of scalp exposure. This will help provide balance and draw focus away from the thinning top. You may also wish to consider a texturized hairstyle that allows the top to be a bit messy and provide better coverage. Another great idea, if you've got a great head shape and strong facial features, is to go completely bald. This completely hides the fact that your hair is thinning. If you've got a great pair of eyes, the lack of hair brightens and draws focus to the eyes and really makes them "pop." Facial Hair

If you are thinning on top, the addition of some facial hair (a neatly trimmed beard or goatee are great options) that will also help draw the focus down the face and away from the top of the head. Less hair on top, combined with more hair on the face provides balance.

When your hair is thin, the last thing you'll want to do is use a product that gives separation (e.g. causes the hair to clump together in groups) as this will further enhance the scalp exposure. For styling, you may wish to consider a light styling cream on dry hair to help you achieve hold and control without separation. Dealing with thinning hair can certainly be a challenge and so many men have so much of their self esteem tied to their hair. It can be quite discouraging, but the best thing is to simply accept the fact that you are losing it. Get a great haircut and use the right products to make the most of the hair you do have. Keep your body healthy and your wardrobe sharp and, combined with the right cut, nobody will notice (or care).
