It doesn't matter which occasion you're shopping for, a gift of grooming is often a great choice for the man in your life. From shaving tools to luxury shave products to travel, one of these ten great choices should fit the bill. Before you buy, remember to check the retailer's shipping and return policy to make sure your gift will arrive in time and that you can return it if the gift's not a great fit.
Jack Black makes some of the best men's grooming products on the market and, for as little as $25, this makes a perfect gift for the guy on the go. You get TSA compliant sizes of the Pure Clean Facial Cleanser, Supreme Cream Shave Lather, and Double-Duty Face Moisturizer (one of my absolute favorites).
The Art of Shaving makes great aromatherapy-based products and their Shaving Cream and After-Shave balm are a few of my "must-haves." This kit contains Pre-Shave Oil (2 oz.), Shaving Cream (5.3 oz.), After-Shave Balm (4 oz.) and a Pure Badger Shaving Brush. At around $100, I think this is a pretty good deal. Their 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave are designed to give a great shave with less irritation and the set is perfect for sensitive skin.
I really love this set -- it has everything a guy need to pamper himself and look great on the big day. Although this has a bit of a wedding spin, it really is a great gift for any time. He'll get facial scrub, body scrub, Anthony's excellent shaving cream, pre-shave oil, aftershave balm, and body lotion all packaged in a dopp kit he can use for travel. Love it!
When The Art of Shaving teamed up with Gillette to create a luxury version of the Gillette Fusion Razor, I knew they were on to something. This set is sleek, contemporary, and stunning. It includes the Fusion Chrome Razor, Shaving Brush, and Stand. The set is crafted from polished chrome and is well weighted and balanced for a great shave. Pair this with the new Gillette Fusion ProGlide blade and you've got one stunning razor!
Truefitt & Hill has been in the shaving business since 1805 and has shaved men from kings to Hollywood royalty. This set is simply stunning. I've carried the Blue Horn razor in my stores and own one of these myself. If you want to throw in a great shaving cream, their 1805 Shaving Cream is fantastic with a clean fragrance (although one of my favorites is the earthy Rose Shaving Cream).
This kit is an absolute must for the man who travels. It contains TSA compliant sizes of Shave Formula, Face Wash, Face Lotion, Post-Shave repair, Daily Shampoo, Advanced Deodorant, Advanced Lip Protection, Night Sleep Mask, Ear Plugs, and A Personal Travel Bag. Menscience products are a part of my daily regimen and I can't say enough great things about them (their Microfine Face Scrub is the best on the market, in my opinion).
With the resurgence of the classic barbershop (with an upscale twist) these days, more and more shops are offering professional shaving services and many sell gift certificates. This is a unique gift for a man. A professional barbershop shave in one of the upscale shops that really do it right is a treat -- it's like a "dude's facial" (as one of my clients call it). If you live in a larger town, a simple web search for "barbershop shave gift certificate (insert your town name)" should turn up some options. This sure beats the heck out of a necktie.
This kit is the perfect essential set -- it contains the outstanding Zirh Prepare Pre Shave Oil, Zirh Shave Gel, and Zirh Soothe Post-Shave Treatment. These products will help soften your beard, shave it off with no irritation, and soothe and moisturize your skin after the shave.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best electrics on the market. It features three independent cutting heads on a unit that swivels and follows the contours of the face and neck. I like this razor because it's also washable for easy cleanup and you can shave wet or dry. A great option for guys who prefer not to use a traditional razor.
