Non-Medical treatments for hair loss

I suppose some will laugh at this, but it's true. When I was a young boy, my cousin got a short crewcut. I asked him why, and he said that his barber told him that his hair was starting to thin, and a crewcut would help it. He never went bald, and was the only male in my family saved from baldness. When my own hair started to thin (in my 30's) I decided to switch cuts, too. In fact. I kept a flat for over 25 straight years. Last year I lost all my hair because of chemotherapy, and when it started to grow back, I let it grow. My hair had always seemed thin when I had the flat, so I was amazed to find that, except for a small bald spot in back, I still have a full head of hair. Well, I decided to let it grow out on top, (I keep the sides and back close) and I still can't believe I made it! Meanwhile, my 29-year-old son, who always wore his hair long, is almost completely bald. And he used to tease me about my short hair, LOL!
